Snowflake on Weathered Twig

A single snowflake sits on the tip of a weathered twig. The crystal's translucent hexagonal arms contrast with the grey-brown wood and a bright pale background; soft light and a very shallow depth of field isolate the detail. One arm shows fernlike sidebranches and tiny beads of melt along its edges.
