Leaf-Footed Bug Head

A leaf-footed bug (Coreidae) clings to rough bark with its head and thorax filling the frame. The exoskeleton is mottled brown, tan and black under soft, even light, photographed in a tight macro crop with the antennae running diagonally. Fine tubercles and short spines punctuate the pronotum and the compound eyes are clearly faceted.
