Saint Theodore on Column

The statue of Saint Theodore stands atop a carved classical column holding a spear and a shield. The figure is shown in a tall vertical crop against a cool blue-gray sky with a bright crescent moon to the right. A carved crocodile (or dragon) under his feet and a decorative circular halo behind his head are clearly visible in the frame.
