Venice Grand Canal Palazzi

Venice Grand Canal palazzi sit along the water's edge with their ground floors opening onto the canal. Stone and marble façades, arched windows and terracotta tile roofs appear in cool grey, pale beige and terracotta beneath an overcast purple-grey sky, with the roofs and skyline occupying the upper half of the frame. A small motorboat cuts a wake toward the foreground and striped mooring poles mark the right margin.
