Green Sawfly Larva on Post

A green sawfly larva clings to the vertical end of a weathered wooden fence post. The larva's translucent green body and yellow underside patches stand out against dark, lichen-speckled wood, with a soft gray-green background rendered by shallow focus. You can clearly see its many small prolegs and a dark terminal segment in sharp detail.
