Rock Pigeons on Window Rail

Two rock pigeons are on a metal rail at a second-floor window; one bird is captured mid-flap while another stands on the sill. The surrounding wall is dusty pink-brown stucco with peeling green shutters and flaking white frames, lit by soft, even daylight and bisected by a vertical drainpipe. A cluster of prickly pear cactus pads pushes out from the left window sill.
