Frost on Dried Conifer Twig

Dried conifer twig holds a line of ice crystals and compact snow along its raised ridges. The stem is pale brown against a dark, blurred background, with white crystals caught by soft side light and a very shallow depth of field. Several individual snowflakes with star-shaped arms are visible on the right-hand ridge.
