Covered Gondolas in Venice

Covered gondolas sit moored to wooden poles on the Venice waterfront in front of San Giorgio Maggiore. The sky is a deep blue twilight with a crescent moon above; the church reads as a dim silhouette while the gondola covers and water show navy and gray tones. A small crescent reflection from the moon appears on the rippled water between the boats.
