Salute Basilica Central Dome

The central dome of the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute sits behind a row of Venetian palaces along the Grand Canal. An overcast sky renders the domes pale gray while the buildings show warm beige and terracotta tones; the composition stretches horizontally across rooftops and water. A small green vaporetto crosses the canal near the center of the frame.
