Torre dell'Orologio Zodiac Dial

The Torre dell'Orologio astronomical clock dial sits on the clocktower facade at Piazza San Marco in Venice. The circular face shows deep blue enamel and gilded zodiac reliefs set in a white marble surround, with a greenish bronze Madonna and Child in a niche above. A fine protective net covers the statue and there are dark streaks of weathering beneath the balcony.
