Tan Mushroom Cap on Bark

A tan mushroom cap sits on dark bark in the upper right of the frame. The cap shows pronounced radial ridges and a paler, powdery center; shallow focus and soft side light blur the surrounding wood into streaked gray and black. You can see the pleated edge and a dusting of pale spores at the center.
