Striped Pillbug Segments

A pillbug (woodlouse) is curled and partly hidden in leaf litter. The picture is rendered in black-and-white with bright highlights on the rounded, striped segments and a very shallow depth of field that leaves the background soft and out of focus. Tiny pits and grains of soil are visible on the shell plates.
