Curled Pill Millipede Segment

A curled pill millipede lies partly exposed in leaf litter near the lower right of the frame. The image is rendered in black-and-white with high-contrast highlights on the ridged plates and deep out-of-focus dark areas around it. Tiny granular texture and narrow pale lines cross the visible dorsal segments.
