Marble Christ Holding Orb

A marble statue of Christ holds an orb topped with a cross and raises his right hand in blessing while mounted against a fan of gilded rays. The white marble figure is lit with soft frontal highlights and framed tightly against aged gold leaf and dark veined marble. Several of the gilded rays show chipped gilt and dark spotting where the metal has worn.
