Fanned Hardcover Book Pages

Fanned hardcover book pages sit open and are photographed from their fore-edge. The photograph is black-and-white, lit with soft, diffused light and shot with a very shallow depth of field that leaves the background out of focus. A small highlight catches the uneven top edges of the pages, making the paper grain visible.
