Santa Maria della Salute Basilica

The Santa Maria della Salute basilica sits at the mouth of the Grand Canal in Venice, facing a band of water and moored boats. A pink and purple sky rests behind the pale stone dome while gondolas and wooden mooring poles fill the foreground in soft focus. A standing gondolier at left provides a sense of scale against the church's marble façade.
