Tiny Flies on Spider Silk

Tiny flies are caught along a single vertical spider-silk thread, hanging in a line through the frame. The photograph is black-and-white with a shallow depth of field; the thread and insect bodies are sharp against a soft, out-of-focus backdrop. The insects appear as beadlike points spaced unevenly down the strand.
