Baroque Marble High Altar

The Baroque marble high altar fills the chancel at the end of the church nave. Warm light strikes the central carved group, framed by tall red and green marble columns and a painted ceiling above. The main sculptural relief shows three seated figures on billowing cloud forms, and small cherub figures line the lower balustrade.
