Red Stucco and Brick Houses

Red stucco and brick houses line a small paved square, their shutters closed and a clothesline strung across the second floor. The low sun brightens a pale sky and washes the façades in warm tones — red, turquoise and exposed brick — while the grey paving leads the eye into the courtyard. A round planter sits in the foreground and two tall chimney pots rise behind the yellow building, a small lived-in detail in the scene.
