Marble Statue of Bearded Saint

A marble statue of a bearded saint stands atop a carved column, his right hand raised in a blessing gesture while he holds a book in his left. The pale gray stone reads cool against a soft blue sky and a gilded filigree halo frames the head; the photograph is cropped low and vertically to emphasize the figure. The halo's openwork pattern and slight tarnish are clearly visible in the frame.
