Crowned Virgin Mary and Child

A marble statue of the Crowned Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus stands in a carved church niche. The stone reads cool gray against warm red-brown marble panels, while ornate metal crowns with gemstone cabochons provide small color accents; soft, even light brings out the carved drapery and faces. A rosary with wooden and dark beads is draped through the child's hand and over the mother's fingers.
